Woodlands of Ireland provide aspects of Woodland management training to help support native woodland establishment and conservation. Please see some of the training currently offered.

Native Woodland Conservation Training

Woodlands of Ireland and the Forest Service (Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine) jointly organise a course on Native Woodland Conservation for landowners, stakeholders (i.e. statutory agency staff, nursery owners, environmental NGOs and interested individuals) and Native Woodland Conservation Scheme (NWC) practitioners (i.e. foresters, ecologists and woodland contractors).

Hedgerow Appraisal System Training

Woodlands of Ireland in partnership with Neil Foulkes offer training for ecologists on the Hedgerow Appraisal system used for County Hedgerow Surveying, Data Collation, and Appraisal. This system has been adapted and developed under a Woodlands of Ireland project and used in County Hedgerow Surveys throughout Ireland.
